Our Governing Body

Tauheedul Islam Girls’ High School is part of Tauheedul Education Trust (TET).

The TET Board of Trustees oversees the whole organisation and is the legal Governing Body for all Tauheedul schools, but much of the work of the Board is delegated to the school Local Governing Body (see TET Scheme of Delegation).

We have a committed team of governors who are actively involved in the life of the school. They reflect the community we serve – men and women, Muslims and non-Muslims. They bring a varied set of skills, professional backgrounds and experiences to help shape the school. The Governing Body includes parent and staff representatives. Mufti Hamid Patel CBE is the Chair.

The governors are passionate about the school and are here to make sure that every young person is given the best education, opportunities and experiences possible. Our governors play an important role in overseeing the work of the school, acting as “critical friends” for the senior leadership team and holding the school to account for performance and development.

If you want to bring any matters to the attention of the Governing Body, you should address your correspondence to the Chair of Governors at the school address.
