Curriculum

Our curriculum is unique and challenging.  Our specialist Humanities status, with its lead subjects of English and Citizenship, is producing innovative approaches to learning and teaching and breaking down the artificial barriers between the subjects.

Key Stage 3

At Key Stage 3 students study English, Maths, Science, Geography, Life Skills, Religious Studies, History, Art and Design, Nasheed, Urdu, French or Arabic, Information Technology, Physical Education and Living Islam.

The Living Islam course encourages students to experience different aspects of being a Muslimah in modern Britain and students explore numerous issues, ranging from Hijaab and racism to careers and poverty.  Students also develop their personal spirituality through self-evaluation and reflection.

Attainment at Key Stage 3 is above the national and local authority average.
