Students celebrate fantastic A Level results at Tauheedul

Students are celebrating this morning after receiving fantastic A Level results at Tauheedul.
93% of A Levels have been completed at A*-C grade, with over a quarter at the higher A*-A grades. 76% of students leave the college having achieved at least 3 A Levels at A*-C grade.
Many of the students will now progress to complete degree courses at universities across the country.
Sheema Mayat achieved ‘A*’ in Maths, ‘A’ in Psychology and ‘B’ in Chemistry and is going on to study Chemical Engineering at Lancaster University. She commented, ‘The results are amazing. I am so grateful to my teachers for pushing me every step of the way. Without them, and the support of my parents, I simply would not have achieved my dreams today.’
Tauheedul 6th Form has over 160 students completing a range of A Level and vocational courses. In the vocational courses, students also achieve very highly with students at the sixth form achieving on average the highest Distinction* grade.
Asia Ali, Head of Sixth Form described the results as ‘phenomenal’ and praised the students and staff ‘for working so hard to attain these exceptional results’.
In March 2014, Ofsted evaluated the Sixth Form as ‘outstanding’. Inspectors reported that students in the Sixth Form ‘make rapid progress and impressive gains in their knowledge and understanding’.
